The Today and Every Day Challenge
An Individual Call to Action
For every piece of bad news we hear about how we’re “consuming Earth’s life-support systems”, as acclaimed scientist John Liu puts it, there is an amazing array of solutions, from ancient farming wisdom to modern smart grid technology that is emerging all the time. And it’s not just theoretical. People everywhere are going hands-on with their contributions to conservation, efficiency, and renewable energies. They do it with enthusiasm, and they do it every day.
The new music video by songwriter / environmental activist, Dar Williams, Today and Every Day, brings hope back with a playful focus on the power of the things all of us do to breathe life back into our planet. We’re inviting fans and their friends to participate in the Today and Every Day Challenge by using and sharing the video in their blogs and on social channels.
How to Participate: Create a post on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and share something you do to save the world a little every day. It can be what you do to stabilize the climate, to restore habitats, or make the earth, air, and water. Is what you do for the environment also helping to create a more just and inclusive world? Let us know how! It’s all related. Tag @darwilliamsofficial on Facebook, @darwilliamstour on Instagram and @DarWilliamsTeam on Twitter and make sure to use the hashtag #todayandeveryday. Want bonus entries? Create a second, separate post on Facebook or Instagram and share pictures or videos of you doing something that matters! Make sure to tag Dar, as above, and use the contest hashtags so we don’t miss your entry!
All participating fans will be entered in the drawing to win two (2) concert tickets to a Dar Williams show of your choice plus an autographed LP (see contest details on the website for specifics). Three winners will be randomly chosen and announced on Dar’s livestream on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Youtube. Collective action CAN light the world. We’re inviting environmental organizations to participate in the #TodayandEvery Day Challenge by using and sharing the video link (https://bit.ly/darwilliams-today) in their blogs, on their websites and on social channels along with their own list of their goals, their long-term projects, and the daily things they do to clean the air, water, and earth, stabilize the climate, and restore healthy habitats for all.
If you’d like to participate (and be tagged in our campaigns on Dar’s social outlets), please email kellie@bulletproofartists.com with your details so we can supply images, the video link, and optional hashtags to accompany your post. All participating organizations will be entered in the random drawing to win a 60 minute private Zoom event with Dar. One winner will be announced on Dar’s livestream on Facebook & Youtube.
