Tu sais le printemps

I’m sitting out on the steps, and out of the blue, today,

You’re calling me up to meet in our old café.

The snow is gone,

I’ll throw this new dress on,

The sun’s coming through

I’ll walk to the square for you

I’m sorry I’m late, I’m disarrangée,

L’orage m’a pris

Sudden storm…

Has taken me

I lost a bouton, a cause du vent,

Tu sais le printemps.

The winter was long, I see you forlorn, my friend,

You are asking me now if you’ll ever love again

The trees and flowers,

Are blossoming on boulevards

Follow me now,

We’ll take off our coats and scarves,

We’re here in the day, with café au lait,

And caught in a sweet cascade

Of cherry blossoms,

A cause du vent,

Tu sais le printemps,

Tu said le printemps.

We will walk to the bridge, where the river bends and flows

And the moon will arise with the blush of a rose

And of maddening times, we will laugh and say that’s how it goes

We say it’s the end, but here is the spring again,

You’re taking my hand, you’re brushing your lips,

The season is young, awakening

L’amour est vivant, tu sais le printemps

I’m sorry my dear, I’m disarangée

The spring is a bird that lives inside of me

La Coeur est vivante

Epanouissment, Tu sais le printemps
