Statement from Dar:

#blacklivesmatter The tipping point has arrived and millions of us have joined forces, demanding that Law and Order serve Peace and Justice in our towns, cities, and states. For a decade now, Black Lives Matter has been spotlighting the deep history of state-supported violence and racial discrimination in our country. This is a crucial opportunity to turn knowledge into action and change the system. I will be upping my efforts to support organizations that fight against black voter suppression and mobilize for police accountability, bias training, and better practices. And I’ll be joining my brothers and sisters in the streets.

We are embarking on Writing a Song That Matters online retreats this summer, and we have spots available for each (July 5-10 and August 16-21).
